WEEK 8 : ROLE OF INSTITUTION FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

  Assalamualaikum and Hi everyone! For this week topic, we will discuss about the role of institution for sustainable development. They have power to mobilize their resources, individual also have power but limited to our own saving. I f we about to be partnership with individual or institution, we have to make sure that our objective of SDG is align with theirs. So that both definite goals can be achieved successfully. This topic is interrelatedness with SDG Goal 17 which is 'Partnership and the Goals'. Everyone must have good partnership in activities that should be done together, if not, we won't have a synergy because for individual alone to do certain task must be tired and we might not feel motivated to continue.   Assalamualaikum and Hi everyone! In this week's topic, i will be sharing three big aspects on the challenges to sustainable development and the initiatives that we can make to overcome it. The recognition of the challenges for me is important so that we can create an excellent and pragmatic idea to overcome it. Environmental aspects      What is climate change? climate change is the change in the environmental conditions of the earth. This happens because of human activities, or natural processes itself.  Assalamualaikum and Hi everyone!      For this week, the lesson is about the role of the students in contributing the Sustainable Development Goals. This topic is actually very important for the coherent realization among the students so that productive thinking can be developed for SDGs contribution. All the students being asked to point out their opinion and role and here is mine.  SDG: Gender Equality      Probably campaign, for the equal right of every student to grab the opportunities in university. WEEK 5: SEJAHTERA CONCEPT OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

  Assalamualaikum and meet again! For today class, Dr,Suhaimi began the class by asking us ' what do you understand about sejahtera?'. For me, I would define sejahtera as peace. A peace that requires everyone to work together to achieve it. There is one video I've watched about Sejahtera presented by IIUM rector Professor Emeritus Tan Sri Dato' Dzulkifli Abdul Razak .He said that sejahtera is well balanced way of living that consists of five basic concepts which are Spiritually, Physically, Intellectual, Culture and Ecology. Sejahtera define a comprehensive meaning that covers all aspects of life. The importance of cohabitation and a balanced lifestyle must be cultivated and appreciated. This is the main objective of Sejahtera concept and must be sustained For instance, people who live in a sustainable manner, ex: indigenous people, may be better off than those who live in cities because they rely more on natural resources and create less garbage.
